Danny Eslick During the CMRA 5 Hour at Hallett, OK
Whoopie Cycles smokes the field taking the 1st overall spot at the CMRA 5 hour at Hallet.
Taking their Dunlop shod, 2006 Suzuki GSXR600, the Whoopie Cycle team of Hayden Schultz, Dustin Dominguez and Danny Eslick, all rode a flawless race to take the overall against bigger faster motorcycles.
Using only 1 set of Dunlop D211GP race tires, the team’s strategy was to run the race without a tire change. This strategy proved a winner, with many of the other teams changing tires more than once.
“I knew our tires would go the distance.”, stated team captain Allan Campbell, “I know what a Dunlop can do and what the other brands won’t. We only had to go to the tire truck 1 time to win this race”.
Jim Cambora, Jeremy Kidd and Dale Schultz all pulled extra duty as the pit crew.
Dustin Dominguez started the raced near the back of the pack, but was into 3rd place by the end of lap 1 and then in 1st place by the end of his stint.
