Dunlop_Samarjian_Aug2016_300x200The Motorcycle Roadracing Association (MRA) confirmed that Dunlop rider Jay Samarjian set a new track record with a 1:18.232 in the Novice GTU at High Plains Raceway during racing on August 6.

Samarjian set the course record on his Imperial Sportbikes tuned Yamaha R6 with Dunlop’s USA Made slicks, KR-448 fronts and KR-451 rears. He currently ranks third in the Novice GTU points standings this season with two first-place and one third-place finish through the first five legs of racing in the MRA schedule.

Dunlop tires have been producing record times throughout the MRA circuit, with Ryan Burke and Shannon Moham both re-writing multiple track records earlier this summer.

The MRA season continues on August 27-28 back at Pueblo Motorsports Park, where Dunlop riders will look to again re-write the track record books.
