Dunlop rider Joey Pascarella secured the #1 plate in the AFM’s Formula Pacific for the 2016 season, winning the final Formula Pacific race of the season on October 23 at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Dunlop riders swept the Podium with Bryce Prince placing second, just 0.497 seconds behind Pascarella, and Steve Rapp taking third.

Impressively, each rider used a different compound Dunlop US-made NTech slick. Pascarella raced with a 2662 Soft compound, Prince with a 7455 Medium compound, and Rapp with a 8477 Medium+ compound.

Pascarella won the AFM #1 Plate during the 2015 season as well.

Prince and Pascarella also placed 1-2 in the Open Production, the race directly before the Formula Pacific. Pascarella set a new track record with a 1:44.3 lap time, only to have Prince better it with a 1:44.2 lap time later in the race.

The 2017 AFM season will start up in March 2017.
