DOOLAN, DUNLOP ENDURANCE TEAMS COME UP BIG AT EAGLES CANYON RACEWAY
Nick Doolan earned three wins during the CMRA stop at Eagles Canyon Raceway over Fathers Day Weekend, while Dunlop teams dominated the field in Endurance Racing.
Teams riding on Dunlop tires captured the top seven spots in the Endurance race, including the winners in Superbike Class A and Superbike Class C. Excel EMR claimed first place in the overall endurance and Superbike Class C, followed by Village Idiots and LocoMotion. Excel EMR and Village Idiots both got caught in crashes early in the race, but rallied with consistently fast lap times to take the top-two spots. The Howlie Boys placed first in the Superbike Class C and fifth overall, but could have placed higher in the overall standings. The Howlie Boys opened the race on another brand’s tire, but struggled with tire wear issues and switched to Dunlops mid-race, which allowed the team to surge up to fifth place in the overall standings.
“Our tires continue to show off their reliability and elite performance standards for riders of all classes,” Dunlop Race Tire Service President Steve Brubaker said. “Our products are able to perform at elite levels in sprint races, hold up to elite standards for endurance races, produce winning results in the heat of the summer or the cooler weather in the winter/early spring. Even in rainy conditions, our riders have been able to consistently post podium-worthy results. We couldn’t be happier with our product line, and it only promises to get better as our tech team continues to make advancements.”
Doolan earned victories in the Superbike B Novice, Superbike C Novice, and Superstock B Novice races, his first career wins on the CMRA circuit. He also made a podium appearance with a second place showing in the Superstock C Novice race.
Dunlop Race Tire Service will be back out at the tracks this weekend with stops in Barber for AMA, Homestead for CCS, Loudon for CCS, Portland for OMRRA, and Pueblo for MRA.
