A Great Start For The Buffalo, NY, USA Made N-Tec Rear Slick
Round #1 of the WERA National Challenge Series was held the weekend of March 19th and 20th at Roebling Road Raceway outside of Savannah, GA. It began Saturday with the WERA National Endurance where riders took to the track for 4 hours of racing. BEI Racing had Billy Ethridge, Tim Bemisderfer and Brian Stokes sharing rider duties on their Suzuki GSXR1000. These riders were the first to test drive the New, made in the USA, Dunlop N-Tec Slick KR449 in WERA competition. Results for the multi-tread KR449 surpassed expectations delivering the fastest lap time of the entire race and giving riders the edge to win by 1 1/2 laps. The KR449 consistently lasted over 50 laps each session.
Billy Ethridge of BEI Racing stated “We did 1 Hour 5min and it never dropped off.”

Dunlop is proud to have manufactured such a competitive slick right here in the USA.

An exciting addition to the top-notch N-Tec product line.
“The tires held up good! They felt the same the whole session, the grip didn’t drop off”, said Tim Bemisderfer of BEI Racing. “I also ran the F1 sprint race on Sunday with that new USA KR449 slick and I won that race too.”
“Everyone loves our UK made tires, but after this landmark win, the US Dunlop factory has proven they can make competitive slick product here in the USA.” states Steve Brubaker, the Dunlop Distributor for the Eastern U.S.
