Five different Dunlop riders picked up a win during AFM’s Labor Day Weekend racing at Sonoma, combining to post a total of 10 podium appearances, including Lenny Hale’s win in the Open GP. Hale, second in the AFM standings, closed to just five points out of first place after this weekend’s showing.

Joey Pascarella returned to the track for the first time in seven months and promptly won the F1 on Dunlop US Slicks, posting a 1.39.218 best lap, more than 2.5 seconds faster than any other rider. Pascarella also placed second in the Formula Pacific on the weekend, where again he posted the fastest single lap time with a 1:38.022, despite racing on a 600cc bike against competitors primarily racing on 1000cc bikes.

Andy DiBrino, two weeks removed from a record-setting weekend at Portland International Raceway, rode the new GP-A Pros to victory in the 600 Production race and took third in the 600 SuperBike.

Deion Campbell, who led Dunlop riders with three podium finishes on the weekend, won the 750 SuperBike, took second in the 600 SuperBike, and placed third in the 600 Production. Rickey Corey earned two podium finishes with a first place showing in the Open SuperBike and a third place in the Formula Pacific.

“This weekend’s races at Sonoma really showcased the depth of our product line,” Dunlop/Race Tire Service President Steve Brubaker said. “Five different riders with different bike set-ups and preferences each rode one of our products to a win. Andy won on the GP-A Pro, Joey won on US Slicks. We feel really confident no matter what your preference or what the track conditions, we have a tire that you can use to get your best results.”
